Seabrook has faced challenges from hurricanes, Covid-19, and Highway 146 construction, leading to struggling businesses and underutilized hotels. But our financial stability gives us a strong foundation for growth. We must revitalize Historic Seabrook into a vibrant, year-round destination with charming shops, live music, restaurants, and other places to socialize. By enhancing our waterfront, promoting tourism, and supporting small businesses, we can turn Seabrook into a thriving coastal hub where people visit, invest, and stay.
Imagine Main Street filled with twinkling lights, bustling shops, cozy cafés, and vibrant nightlife—a place where people want to be. We can create a year-round destination, where the magic of the holidays extends throughout the seasons.
Let’s put Seabrook on the map! By showcasing our waterfront, trails, and signature events, we can attract visitors from Houston, Austin, Dallas, and beyond.
More visitors mean more revenue. Our hotels should be full—not just on weekends, but year-round. Smart partnerships and well-planned events can make that happen.
Let’s build on what makes Seabrook special—like Keels & Wheels, the Christmas Boat Parade, Yachty Gras, and The Seabrook Saltwater Derby—while creating new attractions like a Wine & Whiskey Festival to support local businesses and fund community projects.
As Seabrook continues to grow, we must ensure our infrastructure supports that growth without sacrificing safety or convenience. Highway 146 has posed challenges for businesses and residents, and I will work to ensure Seabrook is actively engaged in the planning and decision-making process so that we minimize disruptions and maximize opportunities.
If we want to be a stand out community we have to grow from the outside in and foster our relationships and connections outside of our community and bring them in. Seabrook is dead center between Passadena and Galveston. We have favor in that respect on location for port support companies and workers alike to invite them to start their businesses here and live here. Deepening existing relationships through organizations such as Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership and the Economic Port Alliance we can foster new opportunities and keep Seabrook on the forefront.
A strong local economy benefits us all—let’s invest in smart growth, support our businesses, and create a vibrant Seabrook for the future.
