Economic Development

By revitalizing our business community, investing in tourism, and promoting our waterfront, we can create a thriving economy that benefits residents and visitors while ensuring long-term financial stability.

Public Safety

A modern police station with expanded departments and well-equipped first responders will enhance security, improve response times, and attract businesses. Specialized divisions and advanced training will strengthen recruitment and keep Seabrook safe and resilient.

Quality of Life

Expanding parks, improving recreation, and hosting events will preserve Seabrook’s charm, attract visitors, and make our city an even better place to live, work, and play.

Lowering Insurance Costs

We must fight rising premiums by advocating for fair rates, improving flood mitigation, and implementing policies that keep Seabrook affordable for homeowners and businesses.

ABOUT SUMMER SANFORD

Professional & Community Experience:

  • Native Houstonian and proud graduate of Sam Houston State University with degrees in Biology (B.S.), Speech Communications (B.A.), and a Masters in Business Administration with an emphasis in Banking.
  • Former corporate leader who built and managed large teams with a focus on leadership, strategy, and business development.
  • Entrepreneur and founder of The Women’s Whiskey Society and Whiskey in the City, creating whiskey-centered events that bring people together and support charitable causes.


          Dedicated community advocate:

  • Board member of Seabrook Economic Development Corporation
  • Liaison to Economic Alliance Houston Port Region
  • Active in Bay Area Houston Economic Partnership (BAHEP)
  • Former board member of Executive Women’s Alliance, UNESCO Worldwide Art Competition, and Sam Houston State Alumni Association.

Personal

  • Happily married for over 20 years
  • Dog mom to two beloved pups
  • Passionate about bringing people together, supporting local businesses, and celebrating Seabrook’s culture and history
